Hyperbaric Attendant’s Course
Are you a registered nurse or paramedic looking for some casual and on-call work, in a unique environment?
The Navy Hospital runs the only acute hyperbaric chamber in Auckland and we are currently looking for motivated skilled professionals to join our team.
You will first need to complete the Hyperbaric Attendants course. Please register your interest with the Hyperbaric Clinical Co-ordinator on 09 4455920.
The cost of the course is $200
Doctors' Diving Medicine Course.
NEW!!!! Friday September 24th - Monday September 27nd
The number of attendees is limited to between 12 and 20 on a 'first come, first served' basis. The course is available at a reduced rate to those who have previously completed it but want an update.
Course content is outlined in the Course Brochure attached below.
Registered medical practitioners wishing to register should print off the brochure attached below, fill out the registration slip and mail together with cheque for the deposit. Upon confirmation of a place and payment of the full fee, a CD containing the reading material will be forwarded.

Chamber Attendant Courses for Nurses and Advanced Paramedics.
This course is held at the Navy Hospital annually, usually around April. It concludes with practical hyperbaric training and a competency package. View the course content in the Course Brochure attached below.

DAN 'Oxygen for Dive Accident' training.
DAN 'Oxygen for Dive Accident' training is available by arrangement.
Chamber Dives.
We provide supervised 50 metre chamber dives for groups of divers (either trained or undergoing training) so that the effects of pressure and nitrogen narcosis can be experienced. Prior to such a dive participants must submit either a completed dive medical questionnaire or evidence of their current status as an occupational diver. A fee is payable. Enquiries should be addressed to the Senior Hyperbaric Technician.
